What it certifies
A site only wears the seal if it meets all four:
- ✅ Works without paying. The content or core feature isn't behind a paywall.
- ✅ Signup only for operations. An account is OK when it's how you use the tool or hold your own work — never to use your data beyond that.
- ✅ Your data stays yours. It doesn't sell or broker your personal data.
- ✅ No ad-wall or nag-wall. Nothing blocks the content to push ads or upsells.
Two ways a site earns it

We went over the site by hand and confirmed all four rules. The full stamp. If we're not sure, or need more time, it stays unsealed until we are.
The site declares it Self-attested
A site adds a small file our checker reads instantly to confirm the claim. If we can't read it, it doesn't get the seal — no exceptions.
Reviewed sites wear the gold seal; self-attested sites wear the green one.
